Job & Student Income Opportunity
According to the Tier 4 of the Immigration Act 2009, the students are allowed to work up to 20 hours a week during the term time and any number of hours during the vacation.
Majority of the students get a part time job on or off campus. As East London is a thriving commercial area, it is quite easy to find a job. When you will start part-time work in the UK, you would need a National Insurance (NI) Number.
How to apply for the NI Number
For the NI Number you have to telephone 0845 600 0643 and the Job Centre Plus will provide you a temporary NI Number. You also need a NI Letter from the College. So, please contact with the administration and obtain a NI Letter from the College. Therefore, you would need to fill a form for the NI Number and then would need to send it with your Passport’s photocopy and the College Letter to the Job Centre Plus. After all the formalities been finished you will obtain a NI Number 6 to 8 week’s time.
