London is a vibrant, bustling and ever changing city, one of the most exciting capitals in the world. But it is also a city full of history, heritage and culture. The London City is a place of joy. It is the second populated city of the Europe and approximately 7 million people live in London. It boasts buildings dating back over 900 years and ceremonies and art treasures centuries old which exist along with the modern architectural marvels of the City and Docklands. Pageantry lives on in London through ceremonies such as the Changing the Guard and the Trooping the Colour. Buckingham Place opens its doors to the public every summer and historic places such as Hampton Court and the Tower of London are major international draws. The Olympic 2012 in London will create the job opportunities and new challenges to the newly built Olympic Village in Stratford.

London is an art lover’s paradise. Modern art at the Tate or the impressive collections at the National Gallery are envied the world over. Museums exist in abundance in the Capital. London’s 300 museums is twice as many as in Paris and many of them are setting the trends in the interactive age.

London can really boast about its variety of parks. London parks are spectacular and truly amazing. You could never imagine a city such as London to have so much green and open space. In every part of London you can find at least one park. It doesn't matter if it's just a small pool with surrounding trees or a park like the magnificent and slightly wild in appearance Richmond Park.

As a new student in London there are so many wonderful sights to visit it is almost impossible to know where to start. St. Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, the Albert Hall, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the Tower of London are to name but a few

London has a lot to offer the shopper from large department stores to exclusive boutiques. There are many areas to go on shopping trips, such as Oxford Street, Covent Garden, and Knightsbridge. And, of course, London has many street markets to browse around.
