The legal profession stands out as one of the more prestigious in all modern societies. The completion of a law course can be a springboard to many careers while the acquisition of legal knowledge is of benefit to anyone whether or not he/she practices as a professional lawyer.
Admission Requirement:
Either passes in:
two subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + at least three further subjects at GCSE or GCE ‘O’ Level (at not less than grade C or a ‘pass’ if taken prior to 1975)
or
three subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + one further subject at GCSE or GCE ‘O’ Level (at not less than grade C)
or
two subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + two further subjects at ‘AS’ Level
or
an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard of the above.
Progression Opportunities:
LLB graduates from University of London can go into professional practice (after fulfilling the required legal norms) or apply for LLM if they want to further their education. LLB is the important foundation for those intending to practise law as solicitors and barristers.
Flexibility:
Students can enrol in any of the three sessions allowing them flexibility to finish their academic year within one year of the commencement irrespective of the session start date.
